Foaming Slag Index display.
- Starts dynamically the carbon injection in relation with the optimum time to switch the heat transfer regime from radiation toward scrap to radiation/convection toward liquid bath.
- Sends eventually a signal to the electrode regulator to change the set point from "long arc" to "short arc" in order to change the heat transfer regime.
- Adaptation in real time of the carbon flow depending on the foaming slag index value.
- Actuates the C injector butterfly valve.
- Prevents and detects pipe clogging with excessive coal amount.
- Prevents exhaust gas system overload.
